Frequent Mistakes Found in CVs

The most important step that you need to take when searching for a new job is to write the right CV, one that will present you as a suitable person to companies. You can choose to find a company on your own or you can take advantage of the experience of recruitment companies, but either way you need to write a CV that will make companies’ representatives interested to know you better. If you choose to cooperate with an employment agency Surrey, they will present your CV to several companies that seem to match your profile and expectations, but you have to convince these companies that they should meet you in person too. Therefore, you must make a proper first impression and this means that you must avoid the common mistakes that are made when writing a CV.

1.      Spelling errors
Spelling errors will make a really bad impression, even though they seem to be minor. These mistakes suggest that you spent insufficient time preparing your CV and that you have poor attention to details.

2.      Unprofessional email addresses
Even though you use your email address since high school and you find it hard to get a new one, you should know that funny names make you look unprofessional and can make you ruin the whole thing. It’s easy and it takes just a few minutes to get a new email address and believe us, it is totally worth it.

3.      A long CV
You mustn’t include your every achievement in the CV. If your CV contains many irrelevant tasks that you had and no important ones that could suggest a future involvement in the development of the company, it will suggest that you have little to offer.
